Updates

So, I thought I would get on here and update everyone. :)

Shay is starting Kindergarten on August 2nd and is extremely excited she can hardly contain herself. (Pictures later) She is getting so big and such a fun personality. She is trying so hard to become independent but is almost afraid to at times, it seems. She misses being the baby and is transitioning from baby to big girl and big sister. (Her dad and step-mom are having a baby girl.)

Kim- She started the 2nd grade and is loving her teacher! She is so excited to try her goal at the top reader in her class. Her cousin Lily was top reader in 2nd grade last year and got a bike. So for her that is an extreme goal and prize to win! I don't think it will take her too much effort. I can't keep up with her reading fascination. We buy them and she is finished before I get more. (Looks like Library here we come! lol)

Ashlee- And me? I am always working it seems. I am trying for a second job that I am hoping I get. It is just something a few hours a day but I am excited about it. (Keep your fingers crossed!)
I still work for Salt Lake County and am loving it. I am hoping to advance one of these days to Officer when they hire again. I also am studying for my re-certification of my EMT basic. I also am going to be starting a new fun blog called Cookin' Up Some Fun! I have had many requests on the food I have been making lately. So, I decided it was time to have fun and share my fun ideas. And believe me not all turn out and you (as my avid readers and audience) will be the first to know how to make it the right way and what I did wrong. LOL! Here is the link. Kim's Funny Sayings

So, I was driving home and Kim was in the front seat reading my new recipe book. She was reading all the ones she wanted to try making.

Kim: "Mom, I am going to read you Chocolate Budnut Cake."

Mom: *Laughing hysterically* "Budnut Cake?"

Kim: *Laughs* "That is what is says. See mom Budnut Cake."

Mom: "That's BUNDT cake."

Reads Hugs 'n' Kisses Brownie recipe:

Kim: "1package of devils food cake mix, 1 TBS fudge.....PAUSE...... Mmmmm....fudge!!"

(Shouldn't couldn't finish the recipe cause I was laughing so hard.)

Then she was reading one recipe where you make the pie crust out of Graham Crackers. Kim was reading it so fast she called them "Grandma Crackers."
