Snakes

The girls were playing in the backyard and found three snakes. One big one and two little ones. I wouldn't let them touch the big one but the little ones were ok. If they got bit by the smaller ones it wouldn't hurt but the larger....not so sure. LOL.

Shay would only hold it for a few seconds before dropping it so I had to hurry and snap the picture!
Kim LOVED the snake! She wanted to keep it cause it just chilled in her hands. It got all cozy with her fingers and just stayed. LOL
Kayla would only hold it for literally one second so I had to repeatedly take pictures and finally caught this one. A bit blurry but hey I got the picture!! ;)

Goodbye Summer

We absolutely LOVE summer and will always do the funnest things during it! We also miss it when it goes away lol.

My girls definitely have their own personalities! And it shows in the things they wear, talk and act. Kim is punk kid and Shay is my girlie girl. :)
If there is one thing that we will always get is popcicles even if it isn't summer time! ;)
Shaylee just loves playing with her puppy. :P
The girls are so silly! They were getting a bit cold in the pool and decided to warm up in the sun!
We found a splash pad that is in walking distance of the house and had so much fun! Kim is such a dare devil!
Shay is my spazz and just runs around and screaming everywhere. LOL at least she had fun!
Hehehe Kayla is such a poser! And poor thing would yell at anyone that got her wet if she didn't want it. LOL
And lastly we had a blast having Season passes to the Aquarium. :)

Fisrt day of school

I can't believe my kiddos are in the 3rd and 1st grade this year!! It has been a crazy year so far as well! On the third day of school Kim broke her left wrist at recess. She landed on it wrong and received a buckle fracture and three hairline fractures. Poor thing was in extreme pain but hide it well...except from me. I could definitely see it. Turns out she asked her teacher if she could call home and tell me that she was hurt. They sent her to the front office for an ice pack but told her she didn't need to call home. So, she was at school for another 2.5 hours until I came and picked them up from school. I took her the insta-care where they did x-rays and found the break. Needless to say I was LIVID that the school didn't let her call let alone notify me that something had at least taken place. The next day I walked to her teachers classroom where we actually had a pleasant conversation about it. I explained to her that they sent home expectations from school on the first day and explained MY expectations from her and the school as whole. She understood and we haven't had any other incidents so far.

I am also happy to report that her arm is all healed up but still has to take it easy with recess and any other outdoor activities.

On another note we went to our first parent teacher conference and they are doing amazing! They are both getting A's. Shay needs help on concentrating on the task at hand and Kim needs a little help with her Math but has shown improvement already! Shaylee has a butt load of homework every night though! She has about 4 pages then 20 minutes of reading and Kim has two pages and 20 minutes of reading. Which they honestly don't mind the reading. :)

Fishing

We absolutely LOVE to fish and we had the opportunity to go about a month ago. :)

 So cute!
